OASIS IN THE HEART OF PETALING JAYA
Meditation Retreat, Puja and Alms Giving
During normal times, we organize regular meditation retreat sessions, as well as Alms Giving/Lunch Dana (Pindapata) sessions with brief Pali Puja and blessings.
We host regular Dhamma Talks at our premises. Our latest major guest prior to the pandemic was Ajahn Brahm on the 2nd of November 2019. We last hosted physical events in 2020. We are currently putting full effort into Meals on Wheels, which helps those affected by the pandemic with food aid. and promoting the Dhammaduta efforts of our other branches.
Meals on Wheels is a program where meals are prepared and distributed to the needy. The bright and attractive van delivers food and fulfills wish lists. Currently, we are providing sustenance to those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic due to loss of income. On a regular basis, we also provide sustenance to poor families and organizations in need.
Ti-Ratana Penchala Community Centre is an extended family member of the Ti-Ratana Buddhist Society.
We are a Buddhist community centre created for the betterment of lives in the spirit of compassion to both serve and care for those in need regardless of gender, age, race or creed.
In 2004, The Most Venerable Ven Datuk K Sri Dhammaratana, Buddhist Chief High Priest of Malaysia and Founder and Advisor of Ti-Ratana initiated the formation of the Ti-Ratana Penchala Community Centre.
After many years of hard work, from raising funds to construction, his vision became a reality in April 2009.
Ti-Ratana Penchala Community Centre is a voluntary and non-profit organization that relies on generous contributions from individual contributors, organizations and volunteers.
Ti-Ratana Penchala is a community center where children, youths, adults and seniors get together for educational programs, youth activities, welfare activities and community services, based on our vision, "Service for a Healthy Society".
Our mission at Ti-Ratana Penchala Community Centre is to propagate the sublime Dhamma teaching of Lord Buddha.
